About Us

Room 52 Publications, LLC was created by Scott Burns and Dan Finnegan to address the need for appropriate educational materials for children with Autism or other developmental delays.

Scott and Dan have taught together for seven years in an Autistic/LLD classroom in a public school in New Jersey. For many years they have been complaining to one another about the lack of materials available for their special students. They would often go to a teacher’s book store or look in a catalogue and realize that they were spending the school's as well as their own hard earned money on materials that needed to be heavily modified for use in their classroom.

Finally they decided that they should create their own materials to help parents, teachers and students everywhere. They soon realized that a business was born and they named it after the classroom where they had worked and learned for so many years.

Room 52 Publications is the first publishing company that we know of to create workbooks made expressly for the Autistic/ Special Education population. We have begun with the basic building blocks of education, the Learning My Letters/ Learning My Numbers workbook series and have plans for many more books including Learning My Shapes and Colors which is coming soon.

Scott and Dan hope that by creating these materials they can help make the learning process a little easier for teachers, families and special students. Every moment counts in the classroom and we know how hard teachers work to create materials for their students. These books have had great success in our classroom and we know you will love them too.
